How I Got Here
I wanted to provide quality vegan skin care services using clean ingredient and cruelty-free, vegan products. Candy’s Vegan Waxing is the creation and combination of my love for waxing, skin care and animals. I decided to name my business and services in loving memory of my dog Candy that has passed on and donate part of my proceeds to animal shelters each month.
After being in the corporate world for several years, I decided to follow my passion in skin care and began my company providing full body waxing services. Due to my many years in corporate, I have great professionalism, something that is lacking in many salons. I have been very fortunate to have worked at some of Los Angeles and Orange County’s best, upscale, premier salons, including Massage Envy, European Wax Center and Bare Waxing and Laser (Orange County's top 3 wax spot), and can provide clients with quality services using the best products. My vegan wax is hypoallergenic, super gentle, & won't leave your delicate area as red as traditional chemical wax. It doesn't contain unnatural harsh chemicals as traditional chemical wax & doesn't leave the skin irritated or itchy as traditional wax. My vegan wax is far superior to the traditional chemical wax used in most salons & achieves next-level results leaving the skin feeling hydrated like no other wax will. My vegan wax is tough on hair but gentle on the skin.
I am a licensed, experienced, highly -trained esthetician & have spent years developing my protocol and searching for the best cruelty-free, vegan wax and products that will reduce any irritation, burning, or lifting of the skin. All appointments must be booked online, appointment requests sent by text or voicemail will not be booked. If you have further questions, please text me as text messages are easier for me to respond to. Voicemails are harder for me to return and I may not be able to return voicemails. Please Note: Texts/voicemails received on days and hours that I am closed will not be returned until my business operating hours. Also, please understand if you call or text during business hours, I may not be able to get back to you right away, as I may be with clients.*

***Cancellations: Please Note: There is a STRICT twenty-four (24) hour cancellation policy. If you cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours to appointment, you will be charged a fee of 50% of the services scheduled. Clients who no show with no notice (simply do not show up for appointments without canceling or providing any notice) will be charged a fee of 95% of the services scheduled and WILL NOT be allowed to book further appointments. By scheduling an appointment, you agree to this policy. Late cancellations and no shows are often impossible to fill, causing substantial financial impact to my business as you have taken a spot that could have been filled by another client. ***BRAZILIAN/BIKINI WAX APPOINTMENTS: If booking a brazilian or bikini wax during your menstrual cycle please note you may be a little more sensitive, but all that is required is a clean tampon or menstrual cup (tampon can be provided if needed). Females can be waxed during their period and I will wax female clients who are on their period, therefore I do not consider this a valid reason for last minute cancellations and cancellation policy will be enforced. If you do not want to get waxed on your period, please consider your cycle when scheduling an appointment.***
*** I do not like charging people for services not received but please understand that when you miss your appointment or cancel without enough notice, I miss the opportunity to fill that appointment slot, which causes substantial financial impact to my business. You wouldn't question a million dollar airline's policy if you woke up late and missed your flight, so it's fair for an independent service provider to have a cancellation policy to protect their time and the time of all clients. I am a natural brow expert. I love brows in their most natural form. Brows that don't need to be drawn on, heavily filled, or laminated/stained to look good. My brow shaping is different, I'm not just a "walk-in 5-10 minute wax on/wax off " studio. I fix those quick 5-10 minute eyebrow services. Your brows should be a priority, an investment. Not a "5-10 minute walk-in service or add-on service" to your hair, nails, or facial. Wrong shaped eyebrows can age you & make you look harsh. I will help you get eyebrows that look good without fill-in. The fill-in will just be the icing on the cake but it won't be necessary for your eyebrows to look good. With patience & regular appointments you can be on your way to natural beautiful eyebrows without having to resort to costly microblading or lamination that looks unnatural & stamped on.

Most salons just maintain your current shape, never analyzing what's really going on with your brows growth pattern. My brow plan is very specific & customized to your growth pattern, brow bone, brow anatomy. I analyze your brows for its full potential for fullness & create a brow plan where I will discuss & show you how we're going to apply that to your brows. There is no commonly seen generic mapping with sticks, stencils, or rulers to determine where your brow starts, ends, or where the arch should be. I use your bone structure, growth patterns & follow the parameters of your natural brow anatomy.We will grow out your brows but still keep them clean. You will see as time goes on you will spend less time filling in brows.

I don't do dramatic, artificial overly arched, drawn on brows. I specialize in restoring brows to their natural state but a better more enhanced version. I keep your brows full & natural & will not harshly shape your brows with high arches. I aim to keep your brows full & enhance your natural form.
Wax Q &A
How long does the hair have to be in order to wax? You Must Grow hair for two (2) weeks minimum, and hair must be the length of a grain of rice (1/4 inch), wax will not grab on to hair that is shorter.
Should I trim my hair before coming in? Do Not trim hair, you might trim hair too short. It is best to leave the hair as long as possible before waxing. The longer the hair, the easier it will be for the wax to grab on to it.
Can I wax on my period? Yes! All that is required is a clean tampon or menstrual cup (tampon can be provided if needed), However, please note skin is more sensitive to pain a week before menstruation and during menstruation.***Please take your menstrual cycle into consideration when booking brazilian/bikini wax appointments. Females can be waxed during their period and I will wax female clients who are on their period, therefore I do not consider this a valid reason for last minute cancellations and cancellation policy will be enforced. If you do not want to get waxed on your period, please consider your cycle when scheduling an appointment.
Can I wax while I am pregnant? Yes! However skin is more sensitive during pregnancy.
I’m worried about the pain, what can I do to reduce it?” You may take Advil or Tylenol 30 minutes before your appointment, it may help especially if it's your first time or you have a low pain tolerance. Avoid caffeine and alcohol the day of your waxing, these stimulate the nervous system and make you more sensitive and increase redness. But don’t be worried, the wax I use is a hypoallergenic and created for sensitive skin. I promise you will be just fine, you’re getting waxed by the best. Clients most common comment after waxing is “OH WOW THAT WASN’T BAD AT ALL!”
Preparing for your Brazilian/Bikini Wax Appointment: Brazilian area (front, labia (lips/skin folds around vagina), and butt strip) needs to be sanitary to prevent infection because we are opening hair follicles and pores while waxing, please shower prior to appointment. If you are unable to shower prior to appointment, please make sure to keep area clean throughout the day by cleansing front, labia, and butt strip with cleansing/baby wipes after each bathroom use. If area is unsanitary or fecal matter is discovered during appointment, you will be asked to come back another day (this is to prevent fecal matter or anything else from getting into open pores which can cause infection). A cleansing wipe will be provided at your appointment, however please have area as clean as possible when coming to your appointment. Now you are probably thinking "wow, are you serious?" Sadly yes, I have to mention this as this has happened. PLEASE NOTE: I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE AND CHARGE CANCELLATION FEE DUE TO IMPROPER HYGIENE.
I got my eyebrows waxed once and some skin came off, why did this happen? Certain medications or anti-wrinkle/anti-aging creams contain ingredients that make your skin “lift” which almost looks like a little burn mark. Ingredients in these products are retinol, alpha hydroxyl acids, tretinoin, bleaching agents like hydroquinone, Retin A, Renova, Accutane, Differin, Glycolic acid/AHA’s, ProActive, Avita, Benzoyl peroxide, Salicylic acid/ BHA’s. Aggressive exfoliation of the skin, such as microdermabrasion or chemical peels can be a problem too. To avoid tears, scabbing or burning, its best to stop using products that are strong exfoliants for at least one week before waxing; Examples are:Differin, Retin A/Retinol, Glycolic acid/AHA’s, ProActive, Avita, Benzoyl peroxide, Salicylic acid/ BHA’s. I use high quality hypoallergenic wax designed for sensitive skin and will ask about topical products and medications you are using, but it is still difficult to predict how every skin type will react no matter how many precautions are taken.
Are there certain clients that cannot be waxed? Yes, clients with the following: rashes, sunburns, Accutane, and blood thinners cannot be waxed. Wax services will not be performed and you will be asked to reschedule for a later date. AVOID all waxing while on Accutane and for 6 months after coming off medication or until dermatologist advises when to proceed.
Important Post Wax Care Instructions: Avoid exercise, sex. sun tanning, pools, beach, hot baths, sauna, and steam for 24 hours after waxing.
